I am an oil painting artist specializing in landscapes.  

I've taken classes with teacher Joseph Perez through the Rockaway Artist Alliance in Queens, New York.

It took me until my mid 50s to venture into art. Successfully completing a local sketching class, I decided to try something new.

After registering for the oil painting class with the Rockaway Artist Alliance, I realized I had some talent that could be developed. Although mostly doing land and seascapes, I try to push my limits painting new and interesting subjects.

Having realized that others may attempt to define our niche, I started a personal blog examining art and the connection to life lessons I continue to learn (the-accidental-painter.com). 

​Artist Statement:  

Escaping through art by creating landscapes is the central focus of my paintings.  I use the canvas to place the viewer within the painting to give them a brief respite, remember their own experiences, and take a breath to get away from today’s complex world.
